In this DIY project, Merit shows how she made beautiful dining room furniture using TOSIZE furniture. It has become a smart seating solution with a spacious storage cupboard. Read more about her approach and experience below.

Description of Merit

We have designed a long bench for the dining table ourselves. The sofa is equipped with 4 storage bins. With 3 children this is not an unnecessary luxury. We mounted a custom cabinet on the sofa. This is how it really became a piece of furniture. We use the cupboard as decoration, as storage space and as a wine rack at height.

How I made this project

We designed the sofa ourselves in sketch up. This was done after online research about a good sitting position. We have taken the storage compartments into account. We ordered the sofa in separate parts and put it together ourselves with the help of a carpenter friend. We ordered cushions for the sofa. We had already taken this into account in the design. We designed the cabinet with the generator on the website. This was supplied in ready-made parts and was easy to assemble.
